Heidelberg Instruments GmbH, Manufacturer of Maskless Lithography Systems, Announces Record Order Intake
Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg (PRWEB) April 17, 2014 -- Heidelberg Instruments, manufacturer of maskless lithography systems, announced record order intake in 2013.
System order intake increased by over 40 percent compared to the 2012 fiscal year. There was a substantial increase in revenue and net profit as well.
Geographically, various markets, particularly Europe and Asia, had significant growth. There was excellent expansion in the research and development market, and a significant and substantial increase in the production related segment.
“Outstanding performance by development, sale, marketing and production, as well as the strong commitment of our sales partners in the individual countries, made this result possible. There was a significant increase in orders for our large area Volume Pattern Generator ‘VPG’ tools, mainly by production facilities in Asia. Main driver was continuing growth in the touchscreen as well as the wafer level packaging due to increasing usage of usual devices such as the smartphones and tablets, as well as a broad range of other products. We saw an excellent increase in our small area exposure systems, which we think will continue. Our Maskless Aligner Systems enable direct transfer of patterns thus eliminating the need of photomasks and traditional mask aligners, shortening the prototyping time as well as saving significant cost,” stated Alexander Forozan, Head of Global Sales and Business Development, Heidelberg Instruments, GmbH
