Astoria, NY (PRWEB) April 17, 2014

Astoria, New York, April 15, 2014: Musculoskeletal ultrasound is an imaging modality that can be used to evaluate nerve, tendon, muscle, ligament, and joint disorders and to guide therapeutic procedures. Use of this diagnostic tool is fast becoming the standard of care for visualizing the musculoskeletal anatomy and evaluating and managing joint tissue disorders.

Use of ultrasound by trained practitioners can improve practice results and patient satisfaction.

However, to use this modality properly in physical therapy, one must learn the techniques of ultrasound as applied specifically to a PT practice.

Hands-On will be partnering with Dr. Randy Moore, DC, RDMS in recording and presenting a continuing education certification course on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Techniques and Applications

"We are honored and excited to be able to collaborate with such a renowned professional as Dr. Randy Moore. We can not wait to bring this high level of training and certification to students around the world." said Konstantine Rizopolous, PT, DPT, FABS, and Co-Founder of Hands-On Seminars.

Participants in the course will learn the techniques and protocols of performing proper musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations to the knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist, ankle and foot and to identify the sonographic appearance of common pathologies of these extremities.

With better performance and interpretation of MSK, ultrasound examinations come more certainty in diagnosis and treatment.

This one of a kind course offers comprehensive training to the physical therapist in the use of MSK ultrasound in clinical practice. Part of this course will be offered online and part in live workshops.
