Martial Artists Around the World Team Up to Fight Bullying: New Anti-Bullying Movement Launches at www.DoneWithBullying.com

This is the vision of Dave Kovar, founder of Martial Artists Against Bullying, and with the launch of the movement’s new website, that vision is quickly becoming a reality.
The website hosts an interactive Google map where visitors can find participating martial arts schools offering free anti-bullying seminars nearby. The program offered during these seminars is the culmination of Dave Kovar’s 38 years of teaching safe self-defense strategies to children and young adults.
Kovar, a lifetime martial artist with black belts in 10 martial arts styles, is known as the “instructor’s instructor” in the martial arts industry. He has offered formalized training programs for martial artists for the past three decades. For Kovar, providing a free curriculum to schools to teach anti-bullying techniques all over the world is a natural fit.
“I believe that no other industry is in a better position to do something about bullying than the martial arts industry,” says Kovar. “It’s time to take a stand.”
And schools have taken notice. In the first ten days, nearly 500 martial arts schools from five different continents have registered on the site and pledged to offer the "Done With Bullying" program in their communities. Dave Kovar says he hoped to have 1,000 registered schools by the end of the year, but at this rate, who knows?
