Seoul, South Korea (PRWEB) April 16, 2014

The 3rd annual edition of Coffee Expo Seoul saw almost 40,000 professional buyers and coffee enthusiasts over four days - two business and two public-– when it was held from April 10-13 2014 at Coex. Buyers of green and roasted beans, machinery, coffee ingredients and accessories, flocked to Korea’s largest exhibition center to meet with almost 200 coffee companies spread across 500 exhibition booths.

Other exhibit items included iced beverages, syrups, cakes, ice creams, teas, and coffee shop furniture and interior design. Co-location with popular tradeshow Franchise Seoul allowed coffee shop owners, coffee traders, and baristas a complete experience of the industry under one roof.

Official guest country Ethiopia provided visitors with a taste of a traditional coffee ceremony, while leading Ethiopian green bean exporters met with domestic buyers at the show. Other popular attractions at the expo included the practical seminars and workshops, the Mint Label new product showcase, and the World Super Barista Championships.

Organized by Coex and the Korea Coffee Association, Coffee Expo Seoul offers a business platform for the coffee industry in what is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. Coffee imports to Korea have jumped almost 50% over the past five years, with Seoul now boasting more coffee shops than any other city in the world.
