WebShopApps, leading developers of eCommerce shipping software, today announced that it has partnered with electronic postage provider Endicia on a new extension for the Magneto platform. Officially introduced as the USPS® Shipping via Endicia extension, this software offers unprecedented integration with United States Postal Service® shipping tools within the Magento admin panel.
USPS Shipping via Endicia is currently available and will be introduced to the broader eCommerce community at the Imagine eCommerce Conference in Las Vegas (May 12-14, 2014).
“Working with Endicia has been a great experience, and we’re thrilled with what this partnership has produced,” says WebShopApps Partnership Director Daniel Ziegler. “The underlying goal of every shipping extension we develop is to make life easier for the merchants we serve, allowing them to focus on serving their customers. Endicia shares that goal and thanks to their comprehensive USPS shipping solutions, we’ve been able to bring together Magento and the Postal Service like never before.”
Among other features, this extension gives merchants the ability to print legal USPS postage generated via Endicia's software right from the Magento admin panel. This functionality is not widely available outside this extension and gives eCommerce merchants more direct access to USPS postage. Direct access from within the eCommerce platform reduces the need for intermediary postage labeling systems, manual processing of postage, or purchasing postage directly from local Post Offices. Users will also automatically qualify for discounted postage by printing postage through the extension.
The USPS Shipping via Endicia extension is currently available for $199 for merchants running the Community Edition of Magento and $299 for customers running the Enterprise Edition. An active Endicia Label Server account, connected to the merchants installation of this extension, is required in order to print postage.
WebShopApps is a Magento Platinum Industry Partner, Gold Sponsors of the Imagine eCommerce 2014 conference, and an innovative force in eCommerce shipping software development since 2008. With offices in the US and UK, the company’s 40+ custom shipping extensions are estimated to be in use on tens of thousands of Magento sites worldwide.
