"As a DSA member, not only can our Stylists and customers continue to fall in love with our handcrafted products and inspiring accessories, but they can also have the added confidence in who we are as a company..." said Janet Kinkade, JK President.
Alpine, UT (PRWEB) April 18, 2014
Jewel Kade, the Alpine, Utah-based artisan jewelry and décor company, has just been named an official member of the Direct Selling Association. The distinction is given only to direct sales companies that meet the association’s stringent code of ethics and identifies Jewel Kade among the direct sales industry’s top-tier businesses.
Founded by designer and mother of five, Janet Kinkade, Jewel Kade has grown from a basement start-up to a thriving jewelry and décor brand with Stylists across the US and Canada, and nearly 100 employees at its Home Office in Alpine, Utah in just five years.
“The DSA membership comes as Jewel Kade is focusing on doubling our number of Stylists,” said Brett Blake, Jewel Kade CEO. “We have had strong growth to date, but most major cities in the US and Canada have just a few women selling our products. So, I hope the distinction of being a DSA member will aid us in finding women who like making money while they support others and share the beauty that is Jewel Kade.
To become a DSA member, Jewel Kade has undergone the association’s minimum one-year pending period, during which JK’s marketing and business plan were reviewed to ensure compliance with all provisions of DSA’s Code of Ethics. DSA’s Code of Ethics gives the direct selling industry one of the strongest self-regulatory codes in business. It is enforced by an independent code administrator, and it includes provisions requiring truthful disclosure of product information regarding price, grade, quality, quantity and availability.
“The members of the Direct Selling Association pride themselves in their commitment to the highest standards in business ethics,” said DSA’s President Joseph Mariano. “By applying for membership in the association and going through a rigorous approval process, these companies are demonstrating that they take their ethical obligations to their field salesforce and to the ultimate customer seriously and are willing to make a public pledge to that effect.”
For Jewel Kade, this is an important milestone. “It means so much to me to see Jewel Kade become a DSA member,” said Janet Kinkade, JK Founder, President & Designer. “Jewel Kade began as a personal passion, and it has gone on to touch thousands of lives in ways I couldn’t have imagined. As a DSA member, not only can our Stylists and customers continue to fall in love with our handcrafted products and inspiring accessories, but they can also have the added confidence in who we are as a company, and what we represent.”
