Cleomentary, Inc. Welcomes Art Experts to Art Contest Judging Panel
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) April 17, 2014 -- Cleomentary, Inc., which sells artist-inspired apparel and merchandise to help eradicate poverty, is sponsoring an art contest open to artists of all ages and skill levels.
To help the company select winners from its contest entries, it has secured a diverse panel of renowned art experts as judges for the contest. Judges include:
Ellen C. Brown, based in Southern, California, has had a successful art career, winning local and national competitions. Her art has been featured in Oil Painter’s of America shows, Pasadena Museum of California Art exhibitions, and the American Women Artists Master Signature and Signature Member show at Galerie Gabrie in Pasadena. She also won 2nd place in 2010 on Fine Art Views, an Art Blog by Canvoo, an online magazine. Ellen studied at the Corcoran Art Museum in Washington, D.C. and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio State University.
Lauren Smart is a freelance writer in Dallas, TX who focuses on culture, travel, the art and theater criticism. Her latest work can be seen at the Dallas Morning News, Patron magazine, The Dallas Observer, Where Traveler, CultureMap Dallas, Arts+Culture magazine, TheaterJones.com and American Theatre magazine, among others. She also founded Green Room Reviews in New York. She has a master’s degree in Arts Journalism from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and English from Southern Methodist University.
Katherine “Katz” Lee Finch, an Indianapolis native, has been owner of Katz Eye Photography for over 20 years. She focuses on architectural, outdoor and abstract photography. She is a graduate of Butler University and Ball State universities and holds a master’s degree from Miami University.
Adam A. Anderson is an actor, graphic designer and photographer, who currently works as a Graphic Designer for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He is an alumnus of YoungArts, a participant in HBO Masterclass and founder of the artistic collective TheSociety of Individuality Honor & Knowledge. He is also a graduate of the Meadow School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University.
In describing the panel of judges, Cleomentary Founder & CEO Kevin Kimbrough said:
“We are honored to have these outstanding judges with there varied artistic backgrounds from across the country. They are extremely talented and will help us select great art for our contest and our cause.”
The contest is open until April 28, 2014 and will award a $500 first prize, a $200 second prize and a $100 third prize, in addition to other prizes. The winning artists will be profiled by Cleomentary, and their art will be used on Cleomentary merchandise to be sold nationwide.
