Houston, Texas (PRWEB) April 17, 2014
Shabana Motors has partnered with AirCheck Texas once again so that residents of the Houston area can help the environment while trading in their old or inefficient vehicles.
The AirCheck Texas Drive a Clean Machine program is designed to help Texans replace vehicles that have failed emissions tests or do not have the newest clean-air technology in place. The program offers vouchers that will allow residents to repair or replace their existing automobiles. These vouchers are worth up to $3,500.
“AirCheck Texas makes it possible for people to upgrade their vehicles while also helping the environment,” explained Bill Akintoye at Shabana Motors, a Houston pre-owned car dealership that participates in the program. “Everyone benefits from the exchange, and it puts cleaner, more efficient automobiles on the road.”
The people who qualify have said the vouchers made a big difference in their decision to trade up to a newer vehicle.”
The vouchers are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and funds are limited. The vouchers will no longer be issued once funds are depleted.
“People should apply for the program as soon as possible,” stated Akintoye.
In order to qualify for a voucher, applicants must own a vehicle that is at least 10 years old or that has failed an emissions test in the past 30 days. For Houston residents, the automobile must be registered in Brazoria, Galveston, Harris, Fort Bend or Montgomery counties. A single person must not earn more than $35,010, plus $12,180 for each additional person living in the home.
