SmartPractice Donates $33,000 to American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile from Annual SmartScramble Charity Golf Event
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) April 18, 2014 -- The 13th Annual SmartScramble Charity Golf Tournament by SmartPractice® attracted more than 300 golfers to McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale on April 11, 2014. Each year, the proceeds benefit Give Kids a Smile®, the American Dental Association’s program that partners with dentists in the community to provide dental services to underserved children. Thanks to the participation and generosity of sponsors, vendors, dentists, local businesses, employees and guests, SmartPractice presented Give Kids a Smile a check for $33,000.
What started as a way for SmartPractice employees to have fun together quickly became an event that vendors wanted to join. Soon the golf event evolved into SmartScramble, an increasingly popular tournament and fundraiser. “We are thrilled to continue our support for Give Kids a Smile via the Arizona Dental Association Foundation by hosting the 2014 edition of the SmartScramble,” shares Dan Nahom, SmartPractice CFO. “We could not have done it without collaboration from our platinum sponsors, HP Indigo and Sybron Dental Specialties, as well as generous support from a myriad of valued suppliers, customers and our employees.”
“The SmartScramble is extremely impactful to Give Kids a Smile programs,” explains Dr. Michael Smith of the Arizona Dental Foundation and Chairman of Give Kids a Smile. “It costs the Arizona Dental Foundation only $20 per child to provide over $300 in dental treatment. That means over 1,500 children will receive free care. The proceeds from this annual event truly make a measurable difference in the lives of Arizona’s underserved children.”
