The short essay contest is open to accredited elementary and secondary schools (K-12) in the U.S. and Canada. Schools can apply either under the Elementary School Division (K-6) or the Secondary School Division (7-12). Three award winners from each of the two divisions will be chosen: Grand, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up.
