Tom Sawyer Software Releases Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 6.0, Java Edition, to Introduce New Neo4j Cypher Query Data Integration Support
Berkeley, CA (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- Tom Sawyer Software, the premier provider of software for building high-performance data relationship and graph visualization and analysis applications, announces the release of Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 6.0, Java Edition.
With this release, we are pleased to announce new Cypher query language data integration for Neo4j graph databases. This new data integration support makes it easier to write complex queries and work with large Neo4j graph databases.
Brendan Madden, Chief Executive Officer of Tom Sawyer Software, said, "Tom Sawyer Software and Neo Technology have many joint customers. Providing Neo4j Cypher query language support in our Tom Sawyer Perspectives federated data integration architecture helps our customers design and deploy applications more quickly and professionally. Graph databases and graph visualization and analysis work together to provide key end-to-end core technology for organizations building applications that work with graph data. Important applications are being built in network topology; link analysis; schematics and models; and processes, flows, and dependencies. Organizations can also build applications that work with geo-encoded data and logical relationships at the same time. This is timely work that meets an important market demand."
Emil Eifrem, Chief Executive Officer of Neo Technology, said, "The Neo4j and Cypher integration in Perspectives 6.0 provides mature graph visualization. Organizations building visual graph applications will benefit from its capabilities."
This release also introduces new dynamic tooltip loading support. When updating drawing views, tooltip data is loaded on demand from the server only if it is needed during hover and mouse-over actions. This reduces traffic between the server and client for both HTML5 and image map web applications, and improves application response time and scalability.
Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 6.0, also includes support for animated and blinking edges, and flow animation from source nodes to target nodes in support of monitoring and simulation applications. In addition, this release includes SVG image support on the client. There are also a series of layout improvements including improved labeling in dense drawings. The API references offer improved IDE integration.
