Nearly 200 Expecting Parents Learned about Breastfeeding and Newborn Care at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s Fourth Annual Baby Shower
Daytona Beach, FL (PRWEB) April 21, 2014 -- On Sunday, April 6, nearly 200 expecting parents joined the BirthCare Center at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center (https://www.FloridaHospitalBabies.com) for a free baby shower and complimentary parenting classes on topics such as breastfeeding and newborn care.
The fourth annual event was a true celebration for these expecting parents as they snacked on delectable desserts and toasted with sparkling cider.
Not only was the event celebratory, but it also offered seminars on various parenting topics including breastfeeding and safe sleep, as well as special sessions for dads on newborn care and supporting mom.
Additionally, it provided women a chance to relax and enjoy the company of other pregnant women in the area. Expectant mothers received complimentary hand and shoulder massages, courtesy of the Veranda Pampering Salon.
Door prizes were provided by Veranda Pampering Salon, Harper-Wayne Photography, The Little Gym, Posh Little Closet, Healthy Start, Elite Family Fitness, Grow & Sing Studios, and a free ultrasound from Women’s Care OB/GYN. Each mom received a bag of goodies and educational materials from The Breastfeeding Project, including hand-made lavender-scented compresses.
