IngagePatient Selected by MedWorxs to Launch Patient Engagement Platform
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- IngagePatient, the premier mobile patient engagement platform, is putting the finishing touches on a patient engagement solution designed for MedWorxs, a Colorado-based electronic health record vendor.
“We’d developed our own EHR so we felt we could create a robust patient portal,” says Greg Noble, chief executive officer of MedWorxs. “But, as we dug into it, we realized that the patient facing world is very different from the professional medical world. Rather than build our own, we turned to IngagePatient, because they had the solution that easily integrated into our EHR technology.”
MedWorxs was also seeking Meaningful Use 2 (MU2) certification for patient facing requirements and a partner that would minimize the effort for the EHR provider. IngagePatient’s solution is currently certified for 25 MU2 criteria from industry certifying body Drummond and is well positioned to help practices in supporting MU3.
“IngagePatient had taken on the complexity of MU2 certification, which was another reason to partner with them,” says Noble. “They took that weight off our shoulders and saved us a great deal of time and investment in a very complex process.”
MedWorxs began implementation efforts in early 2014. The companies are currently moving through the full certification process with IngagePatient as an add-on module. At launch, the MedWorxs patient engagement platform will provide patients with everything from secure messaging to a full-featured patient mobile application. MedWorxs revenue cycle management solutions will also integrate with IngagePatient to launch eBill presentment, patient online and mobile payment, and automated reminders and alerts.
“We have a tremendous relationship with MedWorxs and are working together to create a fully integrated patient engagement solution for them,” said Justin Neece, president and chief operations officer, IngagePatient. “The combination of MedWorxs and IngagePatient creates a differentiated service that extends the reach of physicians beyond the doctors’ office through mobile technology.”
