Rockland Country Day School Students Place in the TOP 10 of National Finals in the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge
Congers, New York (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Toyota Corporation and Discovery Education teamed up to create Toyota Teen Driver, a comprehensive program to help teens avoid distractions and stay safe behind the wheel. As part of this program, teens are invited to submit original videos in a competition to win the opportunity of being an aired Public Service Announcement and a $15,000 cash prize. Rockland Country Day School students, Griffon Sgroi-Jacobs, Evan Murphy, and the RCDS Film Club have succeeded in demonstrating just how distracting texting can be while driving. Through strong visualization of the danger of texting, the film caught the attention of the judges of this video challenge. Out of over 1000 entries received, the RCDS entry has placed in the final 10. Toyota Teen Driver invites you visit toyotateendriver.com/vote to view all the videos and cast your vote daily. In addition to the message in this video, we applaud the creativity and professionalism displayed in this work created entirely by RCDS students.
Rockland Country Day School takes pride in acknowledging Griffon, Evan and the RCDS Film Club for having the vision and skills to create this critical public service announcement.
