Safessentials.com Releases its 25 Safest Places to Live in Maine Report
Maine (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Safessentials.com published its "25 Safest Places to Live in Maine in 2014" list earlier this week. The report is based on a combination of recently released FBI crime data and internal research.
The safety organization established criteria for the report using crime to population ratios, police response times, and other pertinent data points. Among the cities ranking in the top five, were Eliot, Cumberland, and Cape Elizabeth.
Senior security analyst for Safessentials.com, Ty Collins, was in charge of much of the company’s research, and even though he is familiar with New England, he was pleasantly surprised by some of the places that wound up on the list.
"You think you have an idea of the safest places to move to or start a family," said Collins, "but some of these places were new even to me, and this is my field of expertise.”
Safessentials.com’s Internal Research
Safessentials.com did extensive research on Maine’s safest places, weighing other qualitative data (in addition to the FBI crime report) including recreational programming and domestic intervention resources while researching the New England state. Accessibly to medical facilities and shopping options were also factors in the report.
