Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) May 01, 2014

The National Eye Institute has identified May as ‘Healthy Vision Month’ in an effort to encourage people to make their eye health a priority. Hi-Health is recognizing ‘Healthy Vision Month’ by launching their ‘What’s Your Number?’ campaign. The ‘What’s Your Number?’ program includes complimentary MPOD (Macular Pigment Optical Density) vision screenings. The screening will measure yellow macular pigment that is produced by carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin that may help filter harmful blue light from your eyes. Your MPOD number will inform you if you are getting enough of these essential nutrients to support healthy macular pigment levels.

The MPOD vision screening is simple, quick (about 10 minutes) and non-invasive. They will be offered free of charge at the following Hi-Health locations:

Friday, May 2nd - 1-4pm
29455 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ
21001 N. Tatum Blvd., Phoenix, AZ

Saturday, May 3rd - 9-1pm
4910 E. Ray Road, Phoenix, AZ
2111 N. Power Road, Mesa, AZ

Saturday, May 3rd - 2-6pm

Sunday, May 4th - 3-6pm

If your MPOD pigment levels are low, Hi-Health associates will discuss various supplement options and offer a free follow-up MPOD screening in 60 days to check your levels again for improvement.
