Legal media company Lawdragon Inc. announces the release of Lawdragon Insights: Private Funds, the first in a new series of quarterly guides to combine factual data, editorial analysis of leading firms in a practice or sector and articles on market trends and legal developments. The inaugural issue focuses on the world’s best private funds lawyers and is based on independent research with leading corporate counsel and clients.
The issue is available online for free in digital format and print orders are available by contacting orders(at)lawdragon(dot)com.
Insights: Private Funds features in-depth analysis of the strengths and styles of leading outside counsel, alongside exclusive Q&As with insiders at premier private funds and law firms. Contributors discuss complex and cutting edge marketplace developments to provide readers with thoughtful commentary on a burgeoning but increasingly thorny sector following the global financial crisis.
The guide details the top 15 private funds practices at private law firms, as well as several “honorable mentions” in the field. More than 200 of the world’s top advisors to private funds are featured, including lawyers from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett; Debevoise & Plimpton; and Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, among others.
“In-house counsel have long demanded a more exclusive and selective guide to the global legal market,” said Managing Editor Catherine McGregor. “That is why Lawdragon stepped up to provide Insights, a truly independent guide that is driven primarily by outside counsel.”
McGregor, former managing editor of Chambers & Partners, joined Lawdragon in 2013 to head the company's London office and to lead the Insights series. The next Insights guide slated for publication in 2014 will focus on Data Security & Privacy.
“We are very proud of this guide, which reflects how corporate counsel view the world," said Katrina Dewey, founder and CEO of Lawdragon. "They want the very best counsel available worldwide, who bring knowledge and the ability to solve problems.”
