At Pocono, it's all about our fans. We don't make decisions to appease corporate shareholders. We make decisions to appease our fans, period.

Riverdale, New Jersey (PRWEB) April 22, 2014

New Jersey-based Select-A-Ticket is proud to announce the availability of NASCAR tickets for the upcoming Pocono 400 race in Long Pond, PA. The first of two scheduled races at Pocono this year is slated for June 8 at 1 PM. Racing fans who purchase tickets through the SelectATicket.com website will be purchasing from one of the most reputable ticket brokers in the country.

This year's Pocono 400 should be as exciting as ever. Adding to the excitement is the new points system introduced by NASCAR at the start of the season. The new system puts extra emphasis on winning races rather than merely finishing in the top five consistently. The winner of the Pocono 400, like the winners of each of this year's races, is automatically guaranteed a spot in the Chase at the end of the season.

As for the track itself, Pocono Raceway is known as the “Tricky Triangle” due to its unusual shape. It is a 2.5 mile track perfectly suited to wide-open racing at top speed. Yet it's also a track that can punish drivers who aren't careful. Since the track opened in 1971, it has seen its fair share of bumping, grinding, crashes and photo finishes. This year, fans are in for an all-new experience as the track has undergone significant changes to the seating.

“The simplification of our Grandstand is a component of an overarching wayfinding project that has been implemented at Pocono Raceway,” states a Pocono Raceway spokesperson. “The end-goal of both is to make the fan experience better. Specific to the Grandstand, our goal is to first help get fans to the right ‘neighborhood’. This is why we have established the notion of ‘Towers’. In short, the ‘Petty Tower’ represents the Turn 3 third of the Grandstand, the ‘France Tower’ indicates the middle third, and the ‘Donohue Tower’ is the Turn 1 third. Now, it's much easier for fans to orient themselves and find their way."

When asked what makes Pocono Raceway so unique, the spokesperson replied, “First and foremost, Pocono Raceway is a family-owned and operated facility. This means something to us, and we believe it really means something to our fans. At Pocono, it's all about our fans. We don't make decisions to appease corporate shareholders. We make decisions to appease our fans, period. Not to be overlooked, we are ‘The Tricky Triangle’ - perhaps one of the most unique tracks on the NASCAR circuit. We know how much Drivers and teams look forward to getting to Pocono. This maybe the best news for the fans.”

Select-A-Ticket still has plenty of great Pocono 400 tickets available to race fans. Tickets can be purchased directly from their website or by visiting their store located on Route 23 in Riverdale, New Jersey.
