CAUCUS Assoc. Of IT Acquisition Professionals will be in Louisville with a Contracting Strategies Class
Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- Software licensing and cloud service providers love to trick customers into thinking everyone uses their specific contract. They claim that warranties should be limited to only what is offered in a basic supplier contract and dollar amounts should not exceed the price of the contract. Well, Scott Thomas (Technology Contracts Manager, Humana) and Robert Wright (Senior Technology Contracts Manager, Humana) are coming into town letting folks know that “industry standard” is simply not good enough. And some customers are getting far better deals than the industry standard.
CAUCUS The Association of IT Acquisition Professionals is fortunate enough to have Scott and Robert headline their Regional Workshop on April 24 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The class will cover software licensing proven tips and strategies for contracts related to advanced cloud services.
Scott and Robert will be joined in the afternoon by Elgin Ward, CTPE (CAUCUS coordinator and software licensing guru) to discuss additional contracting strategies to help negotiate better deals. This session will also incorporate very suggestive and detailed language that can be used in attendee contracts. Takeaways include contracting and RFP checklists, so customers will be able to do it right the first time.
The class will be held at 9900 Corporate Campus Dr., Suite 3000, Louisville, KY 40223. Registration and more information can be accessed through CAUCUS at 407-740-5600 or their website http://CAUCUSNet.com.
In 1994, International Computer Negotiations (ICN) formed CAUCUS – The Association of IT Acquisition Professionals, establishing the only member-based association serving the specialized needs of technology acquisition professionals. To start the organization, ICN re-branded some of its best events and its popular ICNnet bulletin board under the CAUCUS name. Over the years, a variety of other features have been added to benefit the members of CAUCUS, which leads all other associations in this field.
