Voice Assist 2.0 Now Available for iOS on iTunes
Aliso Viejo, CA (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- Voice Assist, Inc. (OTC Markets: VSST), an award-winning provider of mobile speech and hands free solutions, announced today that it has released version 2.0 for iPhone running iOS 7.0 and above.
“April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month and Voice Assist’s new software release is the perfect fit for anyone who owns an iPhone and drives a car,” said Michael Metcalf, CEO of Voice Assist, Inc.
The application has upgrades from version 1.0. One such upgrade is motion detection to detect motion over 10 mph, which automatically causes a safety screen to pop up to remind you to drive safe.
Secondly, you can use a voice trigger “hello blue genie” to bring the voice assistant to life or tap anywhere on the entire screen. Once activated, drivers will hear “voice assist ready” and can say “text”, “call”, “email” or “post”.
You can then dictate a text by voice, listen to it, then listen to the transcription so you can confirm it’s accurate and then send it with confidence – all without pressing a single button.
The application provides a 100% handsfree user experience with no need to press any buttons to start talking to the voice assistant. Click here to watch a demo. Drivers can keep both hands on the wheel and eyes on the road while they use voice commands to send and receive text messages, listen and reply to email, make calls or post to Twitter or Facebook.
Unlike Apple SIRI, Google Now, vLingo, DriveSafe.ly and other competitors, Voice Assist uses a continuous speech connection so drivers can keep talking and use feature after feature without holding the phone or pressing buttons to confirm.
Voice Assist’s app is covered by U.S. Patent No. 8,472,988 for 2-way texting from hosted applications.Texting while driving aka Distracted Driving is one of the leading causes of teen fatalities and auto accidents in the U.S. which is why 42 out 50 states now have handsfree driving laws to outlaw texting while driving.
“Voice Assist 2.0 lets iPhone users comply with distracted driving laws by putting the phone down but still staying in constant communication with 100% handsfree convenience”, said Michael Metcalf, CEO of Voice Assist.
