Former NFL Star Connects Brands With Consumers Through New Micro-Endorsement Social Platform and App

Fluencr today announced availability of its iOS app for iPad and iPhone, designed to connect passionate consumers with their favorite brands for exciting endorsement-style engagement. Currently in public beta and working with big name brands, Fluencr is a micro-endorsement platform that monetizes social media influence for both brands and ambassadors. As the first of its kind, Fluencr gives brands the unique capability to discover, measure and endorse their biggest fans in a way that’s efficient, transparent, and authentic. With a unique brand tagging feature that acts as a “social meta-tag,” Fluencr technology allows users the ability to tag a brand in social media posts across popular social channels, without the use of hashtags or keywords, allowing brands a new level of insight into their marketing strategies and campaigns.

The Story
Gerome Sapp, former NFL player for the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts, founded Fluencr based on his experience with endorsement deals during his football career. Leaving the NFL to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities, Sapp earned an Executive Harvard Business School degree and secured $300,000 in seed funding from the Vegas Tech Fund to launch Fluencr, after identifying a significant need to provide influencers the ability to amplify and be recognized for what they are already doing. Concurrently, Fluencr provides insightful analytics to brands who hope to engage with and reward their ambassadors.

Moving beyond simple brand-agnostic measurement and arbitrary scores, Fluencr allows marketing teams to engage with their organic fan bases in a way that is smarter, faster and more rewarding. Fluencr provides metrics around purchases and brand engagement allowing for a better understanding of real-time impact as well providing analytic predictors for future product and/or brand strategies. For ambassadors, the technology is mutually beneficial by creating an open marketplace where they can be discovered and rewarded by the brands they love for their real-time social influence around organic social post.
