Dacor® Introduces the First Gas Cooktop in North America with Touch Control Technology
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- Dacor®, leading manufacturer of ultra-premium kitchen appliances, introduces its new Discovery® 36” Gas TouchTop™, a cooktop that features digital, glass-touch controls for an entirely new level of gas cooking precision. Unlike traditional gas cooktops with knobs, the new cooktop offers superior cooking control with individual burner timers and safety locks to prevent accidental use.
“Dacor is proud to introduce another first for the American kitchen,” says Steve Joseph, president of Dacor. “Our new Gas TouchTop combines the performance benefits of gas cooking with the convenience, safety and cleaning benefits of glass-touch controls. Also, by offering home chefs the ability to pre-program stop times with an automatic timer, we are able to help customers save energy and prevent overcooked meals.”
The cooktop gives home chefs precise incremental control, energy savings and cooking accuracy with PreciseCook™ timers that enable users to pre-program stop times on each burner. Dacor’s exclusive Perma-Flame™ Technology automatically re-ignites a flame for continuous heating and uninterrupted cooking should a burner unexpectedly go out; its proprietary SmartFlame™ Technology reduces flame contact between grates to prevent discoloration and increase longevity.
Providing a safe and convenient cooking experience, the cooktop’s removable grates above the black ceramic glass surface allow for easy cleanup. The cooktop also features a safety lock to disable burners for families with small children. The Discovery Gas TouchTop cooktop is priced at $1,999 UMRP. It will be available for purchase nationally in mid-to-late 2014.
