Experienced litigators are the perfect candidates for our review project manager positions because they understand the goals and challenges of eDiscovery document review projects.
Washington, D. C. (PRWEB) April 22, 2014
Advanced Discovery, an electronic discovery and document review services company with offices throughout North America, is pleased to welcome two experienced litigators to its project management team. Both new hires will fill the position of review project manager. Andrew Hoenig will work from the Washington, D.C. office, and Tanya D. McDuffie will be located in New York City.
Advanced Discovery’s review project managers are the liaisons between their law firm clients and the document review teams. They work with the litigation attorneys to develop review workflows, schedules and budgets. The company maintains its own review facilities as well as a pool of review attorneys from which clients can draw to staff their review teams. Review project managers help identify the appropriate attorneys from this pool for each review. Advanced Discovery generally hires attorneys with litigation experience for these positions because their experience informs review planning.
“Experienced litigators are the perfect candidates for our review project manager positions because they understand the goals and challenges of eDiscovery document review projects. Andrew and Tanya will be able to proactively address potential issues so that our clients can focus on the practice of law,” said John Sanchez, director of Document Review Solutions for Advanced Discovery.
Andrew brings almost a decade of experience in document review. He has extensive experience with Relativity, the platform which Advanced supports as an Orange Level Relativity Hosting Partner. Andrew has managed reviews across multiple practice areas, including pharmaceutical, sales and kickbacks, antitrust, banking, SEC investigations, IP litigation, health care and civil litigation. Prior to working in the eDiscovery industry, Andrew was an assistant corporate counsel, defending the District of Columbia and its many agencies in civil litigation matters in state and federal courts. He handled each case from investigation through discovery and trial. Andrew received his J.D. and B.A. from Temple University.
Andrew responded to inquiries about his early experiences with Advanced Discovery, “Everyone I’ve interacted with at Advanced has been knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I know that I always have the support of the entire company behind me."
Tanya D. McDuffie, J.D., is a New York State licensed attorney with over 10 years’ eDiscovery and litigation practice experience. She began her career as a general litigation associate for Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. At Orrick, Tanya served as the discovery associate for one of the firm’s large clients. Since her time at Orrick, Tanya has focused her career on document review and review staffing. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her work as a contract eDiscovery project manager and team lead.
About her new position, Tanya, who received her J.D. from the State University New York, shared that she is excited to be a part of the Advanced Discovery team as it expands its eDiscovery managed review presence in the New York metro area.
