Holland & Hart Welcomes New Labor & Employment Attorney in Denver Tech Center
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Matthew Linton to its Denver Tech Center office as of counsel in the firm’s Labor & Employment Group.
Linton is a trial attorney who will work with clients to resolve a variety of employment law matters, with an emphasis on complex federal and state civil cases. He focuses much of his practice on workplace safety and health defense and represents clients involved in enforcement proceedings before the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
Before coming to Holland & Hart, Linton served in Denver as Assistant Regional Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel for the Social Security Administration. Prior to that assignment, he was a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor, Denver, as part of a special congressional project, litigating violations of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act and other associated regulations. He received the U.S. Department of Labor Secretary’s Exceptional Achievement Award for work on complex and protracted litigation stemming from a major mining disaster.
Linton earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After graduation from law school, Mr. Linton served as a judicial law clerk for then Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey of the Colorado Supreme Court.
