Who hasn't witnessed it? That funny, cute, awkward, and even bizarre occurrence that always seems to happen while traveling on a plane. Many wish they had their camera phone at-the-ready to capture those moments. Others may be sorry they did. Either way, they are experiences folks can’t wait to share through conversation, and photos. ExpertFlyer.com®, the premier online air travel information tool, which now offers its award-winning Seat Alerts® feature free to all travelers, is looking for the best-of-the-best airplane moments with its “I Want To Be An Expert Flyer” Instagram photo contest.
Whether it’s a photo of oneself wedged into the middle seat, a persistently curious child peering over the seat to play peek-a-boo, or any other unanticipated bizarre event, ExpertFlyer wants air travelers to capture the moment, and share it.
To enter, travelers should follow @expertflyer on Instagram and tag their images with #expertflyer for a chance to win an annual subscription to ExpertFlyer Pro and other great prizes. All submissions bearing the #expertflyer hashtag will be featured on the company’s blog. Up to four winners and images will be selected between April 23rd and June 20th. Announcements will be shared via social media, including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
“Anyone who flies can cite at least one strange, funny or bazaar experience they witnessed or took part in during their travels,” explains Chris Lopinto, president and co-founder of ExpertFlyer.com. “Many times a less than ideal seat, like the dreaded ‘middle seat,’ can create some annoying, yet funny, visual moments to laugh about later. We wanted to offer travelers a way to share their experiences with others and give them a chance to get out of the middle seat and access exclusive airline travel benefits by winning a year’s subscription to ExpertFlyer Pro.”
ExpertFlyer.com was conceived and created by an eclectic team consisting of a veteran elite tier frequent flyer, an airline captain and corporate travel manager, and information technology professionals to deliver a 24/7 real time powerful air travel information service.
