WPL Publishing to Sponsor "BIM Roadmap 2014" Four-Part Webinar Series
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Early next month, WPL Publishing will kick off a four-part webinar series that will focus on the value of building information modeling (BIM) for designers, contractors, owners, and others within the construction community.
This year’s BIM Roadmap lineup features the following 90-minute webinars: “The Untapped Value of Building Information for Contractors and Owners,” which will take place May 1; “Giving Owners What They Want Most: Building Information, Not Building Models,” which is scheduled for May 8; “Using Building Information to Build Long-Term Relationships with Building Owners,” which is set for May 15; and “Leveraging Building Information to Win Projects and Enhance Profitability,” which is slated for May 29. Each webinar will begin at 1:00 p.m. (EDT). To register either for the entire series or individual webinars, visit http://tinyurl.com/obfhg78.
“Untapped Value of Building Information” will focus on the hidden value that may be found in models, starting with design and construction. Addressing webinar attendees will be ACAI Technologies Inc. Vice President Alix Loiseau and Kris Lengieza, director of virtual design and construction for Stiles Construction.
In “Giving Owners What They Want Most,” Building Life Cycle Information Group Senior Partner Michael Tardif and Birgitta Foster, ACAI’s director of facilities integration, will explain how to deliver building information to owners in a format they can use.
Attendees of the “Using Building Information” webinar will learn how delivering building information can turn a project-to-project relationship into an ongoing, long-term relationship. Speakers will include Skanska USA Building Inc.’s Erik Sanford, Exp. Federal Director Robert Smedley, and Jeremy Thibodeau, ACAI’s VDC manager of modeling services.
“Leveraging Building Information” will highlight how design and construction firms use the information in their models to distinguish themselves from their competition, win projects, and streamline their design processes and contractual deliverable production methods. Addressing attendees of this webinar will be Robert Mencarini, Array Architects’ principal and practice area leader for design technologies, and Walter P. Moore Structural Engineering Services Principal Aaron White (invited).
At the conclusion of each webinar, there will be an interactive 10-to-15 minute question-and-answer session addressing relevant topics.
Webinar tuition is based on location, not number of participants, so each registration site can have multiple participants for one low price. To register, visit http://tinyurl.com/obfhg78.
