The Results Are In: Wines Receive Higher Ratings When Poured Through Oxymorwine
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- In March, a wine tasting was held at an incredible wine bar, the 3rd Corner, and tasters were given a wide variety of wines to taste and rate – either poured straight from the bottle, decanted or aerated with the Oxymorwine wine pourer. Oxymorwine provided samples of their new wine oxygenation pourer for patrons and guests to try and the results from the tasting can best be summed up by these direct quotes. “The Oxymorwine is a great device for your wine. The difference is a smoother taste and it very portable and easy to store and clean,” and “Truly a great little product, not only does it bypass the breathing time but it opens up the taste and cuts down on the acid or bitterness you sometimes get with the first few tastes. The wine opened up quickly and made the Grand Cru we tried more enjoyable. A side benefit was the drip proof pour spout design really worked. We didn’t see a drop of wine on the table or down the sides of the bottles so this kept things at the table nice and tidy. Perfect for parties at home.”
The tasting was conducted offering the following wines. LesViolettes Moillard, Hobo Zinfandel, Hillary Goldschmidt Cabernet Sauvignon and wines were poured and tasted first just from the bottle and then compared using the Oxymorwine pourer. The Hillary Goldschmidt Cab however was tested by first decanting the wine and tasting it then pouring the wine using the Oxymorwine pourer. In all cases the ratings for the Oxymorwine showed a positive improvement rating of 1-2 stars using a scale of 1-5 stars. There were a total of 14 patrons who completed questionnaires and Oxymorwine provided a better experience in 95% of the results.
Elegantly Simple
Ron Richard, the inventor and owner of Oxymorwine had this to say based on personal comments he received from the taste test “We did a lot of research in getting the right combination of pour rate and oxygen mix which was proven today in this tasting. We have a product that is simple and easy to use and provides a difference you can taste. As one person told me at the end of the tasting – ‘Oxymorwine makes the taste of the wine more inviting to the palette.’"
The exciting gadget breaks tradition to meet the needs of fast wine turnover establishments and is a must have accessory for wine lovers. It is an environmentally friendly, cost effective, single-use pourer with unique aeration to enhance the aroma and taste of any wine.

About Oxymorwine, Inc.
Many hours of research and development on the core that maximizes wine aeration and minimizes flow impedance, has created a cross-shaped aeration element inside Oxymorwine. It works by utilizing fluid dynamic principles. Air entering the bottle during pour causes rippling or turbulence over the surface of the wine flow that increases aeration or exposure to air and oxygen, whilst an undercurrent flow of wine from the bottle remains mostly uninterrupted by the surface bubbles, improving the speed of pour.
