Last year’s National Drug Take Back Day, which Proove also sponsored, resulted in a record amount of prescription medications being responsibly disposed of. Efforts such as these help reduce the risk of medications, such as painkillers, being obtained by young people or abused.
The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
“Proove Biosciences is committed to socially responsible initiatives, and effective community engagement. Prescription drug misuse and abuse is the number one cause of drug related death in the U.S. We are tremendously excited to support and sponsor causes that align with our company’s commitment and mission to reducing prescription drug abuse such, as the National Drug Take Back Day,” stated Proove Biosciences President, Brian Meshkin.
