Mill Spring, NC (PRWEB) April 26, 2014 -- Bright’s Creek, a residential and sporting club community located in Mill Spring, North Carolina, proudly sponsored the FENCE Horse Trials on April 12-13, bringing equestrians from six colleges to compete in the areas of dressage, eventing, and stadium jumping.
Representing Clemson University’s “Clemson Stripes” team, Caroline Andrews, Leigh Casaceli, Julia Gates and Christina Kearse placed first in the horse trials, with help from their horses, Will You Be Mine, Power Punch, Book of John and Hope for Moor. The University of South Carolina Aiken team finished in second place and the combined team of riders from the University of Virginia and Transylvania University finished in third place. The University of Georgia and University of Kentucky teams were also spirited contenders in the competition.
Omar Botero, a passionate horseman and developer of Bright’s Creek, joined Bright’s Creek Equestrian Trainer, Samantha Chody, as well as Director of Sales, Kate Brantly, in presenting the winning riders with a trophy and a complimentary stay at the property.
“I was thrilled that Bright’s Creek decided to become involved with FENCE, as the organization has been a longtime passion of mine,” said Martha Love, a Bright’s Creek resident who coordinated the partnership. “I’m pleased that the new developers, including Omar Botero, have truly made an effort to support local community organizations and the interests of Bright’s Creek residents.”
“FENCE is very appreciative of Bright’s Creek’s sponsorship of the Horse Trials,” said Pat Salomon, executive director of FENCE. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with Bright’s Creek in the years to come.”
