Frederick, MD (PRWEB) April 24, 2014

iHire is proud to be honored with the 2014 Alliance for Workplace Excellence Award for its workplace practices, including the use of flexibility and other aspects of workplace effectiveness as a strategy to increase business and employee success.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts to make our offices great places to work,” said Lisa Shuster, iHire’s VP of Human Resources. “As a company, we not only strive to help candidates find job opportunities and help employers find great candidates, but we also do our part to model workplace practices leading to engagement, satisfaction, and ultimately business success.”

This is the second year in a row that iHire has been recognized for its workplace excellence. The Alliance has been recognizing best places to work for the past 15 years. The dozens of winning companies represent more than 1 million employees from organizations of all sizes and in all sectors—private, public, and nonprofit.

The Workplace Excellence Award highlights businesses that promote professional fulfillment and personal wellness at work, at home, and in the community. All award applicants undergo a comprehensive evaluation process, including an extensive employee survey which assesses corporate culture and management practices, family- and employee-friendly policies, health and wellness initiatives, diversity practices, and other areas.

An example of one notable practice at iHire is its Results-Only Work Environment (ROWE). ROWE is a management strategy where employees are evaluated on their performance rather than their presence. In a ROWE, people focus on results and only results, increasing performance while cultivating the right environment for people to manage all the demands in their lives -- including work.
