Mike Grehan, one of the industry’s leading experts in global search marketing and president of industry trade association SEMPO, will rejoin search marketing agency Acronym as CMO/Managing Director.

“Acronym has always had a place in my heart. From their loyal Clients and employees to the strength of their top execs – I'm proud to be a part of again,” said Grehan. “In the years since I’ve been away they have maintained strong growth and further developed and enhanced their core search services. And the more recent release of their enterprise business intelligence platform for search places then well ahead of the competition. So my new role as Chief Marketing Officer at the company fits me like a glove and I cant wait to start marketing their services and technology,” Grehan added.

Grehan left Acronym in 2009 to give back to the industry and joined Incisive Media as Group Publishing Director, Interactive Marketing, publisher of Search Engine Watch and ClickZ, as well as the Producer of the company’s international ClickZ Live Conference Series. Grehan will now return to the agency world.

“Mike could have joined any digital organization in the world, and we are so very pleased that he has decided to return to his roots in the search agency realm and has chosen to rejoin us at Acronym,” said Michael Bruh, president and Chief Operating Officer of Acronym. “In my book, there are very few industry experts with Mike’s experience and knowledge base, especially when it comes to Enterprise Search, Acronym’s core focus. The high-level, forward-thinking strategy he will bring will ensure our Clients stay ahead of the competition in the ever-changing search industry.” Bruh added, “Mike’s well versed experience with enterprise brands and Search technology will also add value to product development and strategy for Keyword Objects™, our Business Intelligence Technology for Search.”

Mike is author of numerous books and white papers on the subject of search and information retrieval on the web. He is currently in the process of writing his latest book, "From Search To Social: Marketing To The Connected Consumer," to be published by Wiley.
