2nd Annual Broccoli City Festival Heads West with JoJo, Vashtie, Dizzy Wright, BJ the Chicago Kid & More
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 24, 2014 -- This celebration of community wellness is open to all ages and features live performances from nationally recognized hip-hop, EDM, and alternative acts such as JoJo, Dizzy Wright, Vashtie, Chuck Inglish, and BJ the Chicago Kid, just to name a few.
Festival goers will have access to a pop up market featuring an array of diverse vendors, group yoga and fitness sessions, acupuncture and massage stations, and live art instillations.
“BC Fest promotes health and sustainable living through music and a variety of cool features,” said Brandon McEachern, Co-Founder of Broccoli City. “The music offers a medium to convey relatable narratives that shape change.”
“It’s a great event,” award winning record producer Just Blaze said. “Everybody has fun, but beyond that, it’s also about educating people about living a green lifestyle.”
Working alongside noted organizations such as Earth Day Network, the Los Angeles Office of Sustainability, the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans, 72 and Sunny, Zambezi, and Hip Hop Caucus, BC Fest will give multicultural communities in Los Angeles, CA a fresh look at environmental and health strategies set to the backdrop of great music and fun activities.
To ensure a low carbon footprint, BC Fest utilizes several sustainable resources, including an interactive festival app designed by SplitApp to reduce paper usage and a solar powered stage. We will offset energy consumption with renewable energy credits to remain carbon neutral.
