Welded Tube of Canada Turns to Intelex to Streamline EHSQ Processes
Toronto (PRWEB) April 24, 2014 -- Intelex, a leading provider of Environmental Health and Safety and Quality (EHSQ) management software, is proud to welcome their latest client, Welded Tube of Canada. Welded Tube, a cold formed carbon and HSLA steel tubular producer, will be utilizing Intelex’s Process Nonconformance, Document Control and Training Management solutions to grow their EHSQ performance.
Having been one of the first ERW tube producers in North America to meet ISO certification, Welded Tube will use Intelex’s Process Nonconformance application to ensure the quality of their products and compliance with annual ISO regulations. Welded Tube will also use Process Nonconformance to manage nonconformance reporting and assign follow-up corrective and preventive action (CAPA) tasks to users.
“We take the quality of our products and our environmental and safety performance very seriously here at Welded Tube. We have multiple annual certifications to meet and must ensure all our practices adhere to those standards,” said Antonietta Iozzo, Quality and Environmental Coordinator at Welded Tube of Canada. “We’ve dealt with complicated solutions in the past, so we are excited to use Intelex’s user-friendly solution to streamline our quality and safety performance.”
With three locations in Concord, Berkley and Delta, Welded Tube required a software solution with a central file repository, to connect users across the different locations. Intelex’s Document Control application provides Welded Tube a central location to store, edit and share documents across the organization, while Training Management generates reports on training programs and provides complete visibility into Welded Tube’s training performance.
“Welded Tube is dedicated to their EHSQ processes,” said Intelex President and CEO Mark Jaine. “They’ve had great success with their quality efforts and we look forward to helping them further their initiatives.”
Welded Tube was the first ERW tube producer in North America registered to the, now widespread, ISO 9000 business system series of standards. To date, Welded Tube-Concord's current business management system is registered to ISO 9001:2000, API Specification Q1 and ISO TS-29001 standards.
