Kelowna, BC (PRWEB) April 24, 2014 -- The community is invited to tour the Kelowna Centre for Arts and Technology campus, meet staff and instructors, enjoy door prizes, refreshments, demonstrations and presentations about Centre’s programs. The Open House will be geared towards high school students and their parents/family members, in addition to mature students who are interested in training for a career in the digital arts. Centre for Arts and Technology is a private digital arts training college delivering fully accredited certificate and diploma programs across a variety of arts and technology disciplines, with campuses in Kelowna, Halifax, and Fredericton. Programs are offered in the areas of animation, filmmaking, audio engineering, digital photography, graphic design, network security, fashion design, event management, interior design, and a variety of other programs.
Our community relation coordinator Tanya Chartrand had this to say: “We always look forward to welcoming the community to Centre for Arts and Technology! We have such talented instructors and intriguing technology, and the opportunity to share them with potential students is exciting. When we hear that families travel from places like Kamloops and Calgary just to attend an Open House, it becomes obvious that the cutting-edge programs we offer and the exciting potential careers in the digital arts that these programs can lead to are being valued by families everywhere, not just in the Okanagan. This Open House will be no different, and we cannot wait to share these educational opportunities with more potential students and their families.”
Guests of the Open House will have an opportunity to participate in a live Audio demonstration in Centre’s state-of-the-art studio, as well as a Graphic Design Adobe Suite tutorial, or bring out their creative side in a quick Branding Challenge (in which participants will get to try their hand at logo design); the winner will receive a bamboo drawing tablet. Centre for Arts and Technology looks forward to having interested students and their families join this energetic and enjoyable afternoon of hands-on digital art and technology experience.
