Indie sitcom Yogaphiles explores controversial stereotypes through yoga and comedy.

I wanted to create a comedic environment to feature a diverse cast of comedians while highlighting racial, gender and LGBT stereotypes.

Yogaphiles is an independent new media sitcom about a class of yogis that take life, love and yoga too seriously. The comedy series was created by Celeste Thorson, screenwriter (Destination Luxury, Yogaphiles), director (Hit Girls, Yogaphiles) and actress (How I Met Your Mother, The Exes and Jimmy Kimmel Live!).

"I wanted to create a comedic environment to feature a diverse cast of comedians, while highlighting racial, gender and LGBT stereotypes," said screenwriter and director Celeste Thorson.

Episode 4 of Yogaphiles explores gay and lesbian themes when Shaye, a new yoga teacher, comes into town and turns Mo's world upside down. Felix and Priyanka bond while Nick and Tara share their upcoming plans.

Starring Hayden Shinger (Grey's Anatomy, Outsourced) as Priyanka, John R. Colley (NCIS, Castle) as Felix, Zach Book (Criminal Minds, America's Most Wanted) as Nick, Katherine Adams (Heroine Legends, Colorblind) as Tara and Mario Locke (Dirt, The Adventures of Roman and Jorge) as Mo.
