Outpost Travel, the most extensive search engine
for the sharing economy, announced today the launch of its new Outpost iOS® app, the first mobile app to offer users the ability to browse and book accommodations, rideshares and unique experiences from over one million listings. The app taps into the full suite of the Outpost Travel web platform, aggregating results from dozens of trusted providers such as Airbnb, Flipkey, 9flats, Roomorama, HouseTrip & more.
The Outpost iOS app is available now as a free download in the Apple App Store.
"We’re excited to deliver a user-friendly mobile experience that brings together the massive amount of travel data we’ve put together at Outpost over the past year. This app marks a major milestone in our goal of raising awareness about the Sharing Economy and helping people travel more easily and affordably," said Ovi Mija, co-founder and COO of Outpost Travel. "Outpost helped thousands of travellers find a place to stay in 2013. This year we want to make it even easier by putting that same experience in their pockets."
Booking a trip with Outpost can be done in three simple steps: Enter a destination, filter
through the available listings, and book the ideal one. The user experience is focused around high
quality pictures that give the user a perfect idea of what to expect. Gone are the days of not knowing what your room will look like. Outpost shows pictures of every corner of the place.
Browsing Outpost Travel is like going through all of your favourite vacation rental sites in one place, at the same time. "Our goal is to make sure you get the best value for your money, which is why our focus is on building the best database of curated listings that allows our users to filter and compare them based on the criteria they care most about," added Mija.
The new Outpost Travel iOS app also lets users to post their own accommodations through the supported providers and increases their visibility and number of bookings by featuring them in the app.
