HIPOWER SYSTEMS Partners with Luby Equipment Services to Offer Facility Visits to Area Engineers
(PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power-generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced that it has been working with one of its distributors, Fenton, Mo.-based Luby Equipment Services, to bring area engineers to view the HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ factory in Lenexa, Kan. The attendees―who are professional engineers and electrical engineers from local design-build firms―enjoy a Lunch and Learn session jointly developed by Luby Equipment Services and HIPOWER SYSTEMS, followed by an extensive tour of the HIPOWER SYSTEMS manufacturing facility. During the tour, the engineers view and examine a complete lineup of HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ equipment , including standby and prime power generators (natural gas, diesel-powered and bifuel units), as well as the company’s wide array of power distribution products.
Design-build is a project delivery system in which a single entity becomes the sole point of responsibility for the contract. All vendors must be approved by the design-build firm before they can be included on a bid for the contract. Bringing the engineers to the HIPOWER SYSTEMS facility enables them to observe, first-hand, the superiority of the equipment.
“We have been working with HIPOWER SYSTEMS for a few years and we believe that the quality, the design and the reliability of HIPOWER SYSTEMS products is second to none,” said Luby Equipment Territory Manager, Industrial Power Generation, Derrick Church. “When we brought the first group of engineers in, we had the impression that they felt the same way. There was immediate interest in the HIPOWER products.”
Luby Equipment Services Vice President Larry Valco and other members of his team had originally toured the plant of Himoinsa (HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ parent company) in Spain as well as the local factory in Kansas before becoming a HIPOWER SYSTEMS distributor. Soon after, Luby Equipment Services, which has stores throughout Missouri and Illinois as well as in Arkansas and West Virginia, scheduled an open house and asked HIPOWER SYSTEMS to bring units to one of its stores. “We were very impressed with the quality of the product and the enclosures,” said Valco. “Since then, Derrick has been working hard to win the approval of these engineers to bid HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ equipment.”
Valco noted that the engineer introductions are going well, and predicted great things for the joint effort between HIPOWER SYSTEMS and Luby Equipment Services. “With HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ quality and Luby’s service, I see nothing less than a winning team,” said Valco. Plans are already in the works for more of these popular Lunch and Learn/Factory Tour events.
“Luby Equipment Services has done a great job of promoting us to the engineering community,” said HIPOWER SYSTEMS President Rafael Acosta. “Like HIPOWER SYSTEMS, Luby Equipment Services places strong emphasis on delivering only the best to its customers, and we look forward to working with them closely in the future.”
About Luby Equipment Services
Luby Equipment traces its beginnings to 1977 when Bob Luby seized the opportunity to become an owner of Machine Maintenance and Equipment Company. Initially, the company focused on maintaining and repairing heavy industrial equipment and has grown to include three divisions that sell and service equipment—the construction division, the oilfield division and the power generation division. The power generation division was launched in 2005, and today, Luby sells and supports its Power Generation products throughout Missouri and Illinois with six full service locations. Major customers include hospitals, commercial and industrial buildings, and major airports. The common thread throughout the company is an emphasis on service and the need for 24/7 emergency response. For more information, visit http://www.lubyequipment.com.
