Poets&Quants to Launch Business Undergraduate Website
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 28, 2014 -- PoetsandQuants.com, the highly popular online destination for MBA applicants and students, will launch a new website for applicants and students in business undergraduate programs. The new site will debut this June with the goal of becoming a must-read resource for anyone interested in attending an undergraduate business school.
The new site, PoetsandQuantsforUndergrads.com, will be the fourth website own and run by C-Change Media, the company founded by former BusinessWeek Executive Editor and former Fast Company Editor-in-Chief John A. Byrne. C-Change also operates PoetsandQuantsforExecs, com, a site devoted to the coverage of Executive MBA and Executive Education programs, as well as TippingTheScales.com, a site devoted to the coverage of law schools.
"This is a natural extension of the higher education franchise we've established with the initial launch of PoetsandQuants nearly four years ago," said Byrne. "The market for undergraduate business education is an important one and we intend to bring to it the same lively, informative and entertaining coverage that we are known for in the MBA and JD markets."
The new site will feature profiles of the top undergraduate business programs, candid interviews with deans and admission officials, first-person narratives of current students and alumni, detailed analysis of rankings and placement reports, and a treasure trove of admissions advice to help applicants get into the best schools. "It will be the best resource in the world for undergraduate business education, period," said Byrne. "And it will be updated on a daily basis, just as our other higher education sites."
To help with the launch of the new site, C-Change Media has hired two former BusinessWeek.com writers: Alison Damast, a former BusinessWeek staff writer who had covered the higher education beat for more than six years, and Jeff Schmitt, a former BusinessWeek.com contributor who wrote management and leadership stories for several years. They will join a staff led by John A. Byrne, who created BusinessWeek's rankings of the best MBA programs as well as the best executive education and EMBA programs, and who supervised the creation of the magazine's undergraduate business rankings.
PoetsandQuants.com, which was launched in August of 2000, ended 2013 with record traffic and engagement from its worldwide readers. Along with PoetsandQuantsforExecs, com, the two sites had 72% of the active market for applicants to MBA and EMBA programs in the U.S. and more than half the world market last year. In the first quarter of 2014, PoetsandQuants.com continued its torrid growth record, with traffic up more than 65% year-over-year.
