British Customs is Title Sponsor of 2014 Thruxton Cup Racing
Gardena, Calif. (PRWEB) April 26, 2014 -- California’s historic Willow Springs International Raceway will host the third round of the 2014 Thruxton Cup this weekend, April 25th-27th. Racers will take on the “Big Willow” track, the same nine-turn, 2.5 mile road course that put Willow Springs on the map in 1953.
British Customs partnered with BES Industries and the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association in 2009 to become the title sponsor of a class of racing that would give Triumph enthusiasts a place to celebrate and carry on the racing traditions of the Triumph brand. Participants in Thruxton Cup racing have the opportunity to compete at some of the top tracks in America, including legendary tracks like Road America, Virginia International Raceway, Miller Motorsports Park, Barber Motorsports Park and more. With minimal safety modifications necessary for entry, the Cup was designed to be an easily accessible way for enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to enjoy their motorcycles in competition that is as friendly as it is fierce. Since its inception in 2005, the Thruxton Cup has grown to include a full grid of riders, including everyone from everyday enthusiasts to journalists and industry players.
Racing has historically been both the driving force for innovation in motorcycle performance and safety, and the crucible in which those innovations are put to the test. As the official performance part supplier of the Thruxton Cup, British Customs has drawn on its years of experience designing and testing high performance components for Triumph motorcycles to create bolt-on parts and packages that are easy to install, and provide the raw power and sharp handling to give you a competitive edge on the track. All Thruxton Cup competitors are eligible to participate in British Customs Rider Support program, which includes discounts on performance parts, and trackside support at select rounds of the series.
