Android Phone Compatibility Opens Up a Huge New Market For Polar

Having the Android capability is huge because there are over 72 million Android phone users in the USA alone.

V800 is the new Bluetooth Smart triathlon watch from the folks at Polar and thanks to a recent update to the Polar Flow app it is now Android compatible says the Heart Rate Watch Company.

"Polar Beat's availability on Android devices has expanded and now you can get it also on Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and LG Nexus 5 using Android 4.3 or later," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "It will not work however with older Androids."

"Having the Android capability is huge because there are over 72 million Android phone users in the USA alone, more than iPhone," says Squire. He adds, "For newer products like the V800 and the Polar Loop this means you can transfer all your data mobile and on the go."

Heart Rate In The Water and Swim Functions

"How many GPS watches with the battery life to last a full Ironman can display heart rate in the water?" asks Squire. He adds, "Just one, the Polar V800 is the only one."

"How many GPS watches that can handle all major triathlon event functions and can last for a full Ironman are there that have Bluetooth Smart?" asks Squire. He adds, "Once again, just one, the Polar V800."

Heart Rate Variability

"Polar V800 measures beat-by-beat heart rate data which means you can better assess your fitness and recovery needs," says Squire. He adds, "Polar has the absolute best and most accurate heart rate data and calories thanks to their decades of testing and work with Universities and sports teams."

"Very few watches measure heart rate variability and beat-by-beat performance but the Polar V800 is one of them," says Squire.

Availability and Price

"The Polar V800 in black is due out in early May and you can advance order one at the Heart Rate Watch Company website for $449 without heart rate and $499 with the Polar H7 Bluetooth strap," says Squire. He adds, "The blue V800 is not anticipated be released until late May."
