Kukui`ula Appoints New President with 25 Years of Luxury Resort Experience
Kauai, Hawaii (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- Kukui`ula Development Company (Hawaii), LLC. (KDCH) has named Richard Albrecht as its new President. Albrecht is a developer and management professional with more than 25 years of experience in the operation of successful luxury resort communities. Kukui`ula is a 1,000 acre luxury community located on the south shore of Kaua`i.
KDCH, the developer of Kukui`ula, is a joint venture of A&B Properties, based in Honolulu, and DMB, based in Scottsdale, AZ. Albrecht will report to Brent Herrington, who has served as KDCH President since 2009, and to Paul Hallin, executive vice president at A&B Properties. Herrington will assume additional executive responsibilities within DMB in addition to providing continuing oversight for Kukui`ula.
Albrecht has extensive development experience in Hawaii, having previously served as the chief operating officer of Hualalai Resort, located on the Big Island of Hawaii, where he was responsible for residential development and resort operations. Hualalai offers a variety of high-end private club amenities and is home to the internationally acclaimed Four Seasons Hualalai.
Additionally, Albrecht served as the director of development of Lana`i Company, Inc. The Island of Lana`i is home to two renowned resorts, The Four Seasons Resort Lana`i at Manele Bay, as well as The Lodge at Koele.
More recently, as a principal of Lattice Properties, Albrecht served as an advisor and development consultant for a variety of important land holdings in the U.S., including a 1,300-acre property owned by the Queen Lili’uokalani Trust in Kona, Hawaii.

In addition to his professional experience in Hawaii, Albrecht served as president of real estate for Miraval, the #1 ranked destination spa based in Tucson, AZ. During his tenure there, the company engaged in a growth program to extend the Miraval brand into multiple resorts and residential communities with an emphasis on a wellness lifestyle.
Albrecht earned a BA in political science from University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. Albrecht and his wife, Cindy, have three grown children and will be relocating to Kaua`i from Park City, Utah.
