New York, NY and Napa, CA (PRWEB) April 29, 2014

As they begin their third annual donation program for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF), CK Mondavi Family Vineyards announced today that the winery has donated more than $65,000 to the fund over the past two years. Marc Mondavi was on hand at the Intrepid Museum in New York last week to present the 2013 donation of $38,585 to David Winters, the president of IFHF.

The family-owned winery also announced that CK Mondavi’s third annual donation program kicks off its nationwide in-store promotions on May 1 and will run them through the end of August. The CK Mondavi Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund program consists of in-store coupons and rebates, that when redeemed generate a $1 donation by CK Mondavi to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

“We are honored to provide financial assistance to the injured men and women of the Armed Forces and their families through our support of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund,” said Marc Mondavi, Proprietor of CK Mondavi Family Vineyards. “My father, Peter Mondavi Sr., is a World War II veteran and this cause is very personal to our family. We are asking our customers to help us reach our goal of $50,000 this year by purchasing CK Mondavi wines this summer.”

CK Mondavi Family Vineyards began their partnership with IFHF in 2012 and annually runs an in-store promotion to raise money and bring attention to this organization. In addition to their performance-based donation, CK Mondavi Family Vineyards encourages consumers to make a direct donation to the organization through in-store promotional materials.

“CK Mondavi Family Vineyards has been a great supporter of Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and we truly appreciate their support,” said David Winters, President of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Consumers can support IFHF by purchasing CK Mondavi Family Wines with the IFHF coupon on the bottle. For each coupon redeemed, CK Mondavi will donate $1, up to a maximum donation of $50,000, to IFHF. Consumers can visit CKMondavi.com or scan the QR codes on the IFHF coupons for more information on the program or CK Mondavi wines.

About the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund
The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a national leader in supporting the men and women of the United States Armed Forces and their families, has provided over $150 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. The Fund most recently opened the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) to support the research, diagnosis, and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI). In 2013 the Fund launched a new $100 million campaign to build nine “Intrepid Spirit” centers at major military bases around the country. These satellite centers will serve as satellites to the central NICoE facility and extend that care to more service members and veterans suffering TBI, PTS and related afflictions. http://www.fallenheroesfund.org
