The 10th anniversary of the GPHR is a proud moment for us, because it is a reminder of our foresight that the world of global business would continue to grow at a rapid rate and would require HR professionals who are experts in cross-border HR practices.
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) April 28, 2014
The HR Certification Institute (the Institute), the internationally recognized certifying body for the HR profession, is celebrating the 10th year of offering its Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR®) credential, which demonstrates that HR professionals are experts in cross-border HR strategies. The Institute launched the GPHR, which is designed for those whose work focuses on the globalization and development of HR policies and initiatives that support organizational growth and worldwide business goals, in 2004.
The first group of GPHR certificants numbered 72 and has grown to more than 3,000. They are a part of a special community of more than 130,000 certified HR professionals in 100 countries who have demonstrated mastery of the HR Body of Knowledge and display their credentials as a mark of competence, experience, credibility and dedication to human resources, their employers, clients, staff and professional peers.
“The 10th anniversary of the GPHR is a proud moment for us, because it is a reminder of our foresight that the world of global business would continue to grow at a rapid rate and would require HR professionals who are experts in cross-border HR practices,” said Amy Schabacker Dufrane, Ed.D., SPHR, CAE, executive director of the Institute. “The GPHR was our third HR certification and the first of our global credentials. With our entire portfolio, we continue to strive to create certifications that are relevant and valued in countries around the world.”
The Institute is the global leader in HR certification. The GPHR certification is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) for demonstrating ongoing compliance with the NCCA Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs. NCCA accreditation further validates the credibility of the GPHR certification and makes the HR profession and the public aware of the standards and requirements that the Institute has met in developing and delivering it.
