The Minnesota Business Ethics Award (MBEA) program chose Alexandria Industries as a finalist for the 2014 awards. The MBEA recognizes businesses that exemplify and promote ethical conduct for the benefit of the workplace, marketplace and community. Alexandria Industries provides customized aluminum extrusions, precision machining, heatsinks, plastic injection and foam molding, high-level assemblies, finishing and welding services.

Through its values, corporate absolutes and brand promise, Alexandria Industries’ leadership put in place purposeful guidelines and a united passion to be an organization that benefits its employees, customers, and communities, among many other stakeholders.

“We live our values and we care about our employees like family. It is what we do,” said Tom Schabel, CEO, Alexandria Industries. “We openly share our values with our customers to help ensure our actions and behaviors are in alignment with what they experience.”

Alexandria Industries built its culture based on actions that display the highest level of honesty, trust, professionalism and ethical behavior, while providing a work environment that others respect and admire.

“I work with a lot of businesses and organizations, and I can truly say that Alexandria Industries ranks at the top of the leaderboard of purpose-driven, values-based, highly ethical companies,” Mark Deterding, executive coach, Triune Leadership Services, said.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary year, the MBEA recipients will be announced at a luncheon held at the Nicollet Island Pavilion, in Minneapolis, on May 14. The keynote speaker is Mary Brainerd, President and CEO of HealthPartners, one of Minnesota’s most respected leaders.
