Patients that wait until they are in pain may have to go through a number of appointments before the problem is rectified, depending on the severity.

He is also one of the youngest dentists to ever graduate in the United Kingdom at the age of twenty one. Dr Drabu is the owner of the successful Langley Dental Practice and is also the Clinical Lead Dentist for the Oral Surgery Assessment Clinic and Treatment Services at NHS Heywood Middleton and Rochdale. With over twenty five years’ experience in United Kingdom and Saudi Arabian in busy dental hospitals and clinics, Dr Drabu also finds the time to teach and mentor post graduate dentists on oral surgery.

Dr Tariq Drabu is talking about an article in the Denistry Today website on a study which was conducted on patients missing their dental visits. The full article can be read here.

Dr Tariq Drabu said “It is so important for patients to keep their regular dental check-up
appointments. This is an opportunity for the dentist to see problems early on and find the best treatment option. Many people only visit their dentist when they are in pain, ignoring the dentist’s suggestion to visit them at least once a year for a check-up.”

Dr Tariq Drabu went on to say “I find that by educating my patients at my Langley Dental Practice, we have managed to increase the number of patients that attend their annual appointment. Patients need to understand that by visiting their dentist regularly they can save themselves money in the long run and reduce the risk of further problems developing.”

Dr Tariq Drabu closed in saying “Patients that wait until they are in pain may have to go through a number of appointments before the problem is rectified, depending on the severity. By attending regular dental appointments one time, dentists can identify problems such as cancers, cavities, gum disease and more and put a treatment plan in place. Having problems treated early reduces the risk of further complications in the future and ensures that patients enjoy the benefits of healthy teeth and gums. The team at Langley Dental Practice all encourage our patients to attend their appointments to reduce problems later on.”
