Baxter Planning Systems Sponsors Cross-Industry Aftermarket Supply Chain Conference
Austin, TX (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- Baxter Planning Systems, the pioneer and recognized leader in inventory planning and optimization solutions, announced today that it is sponsoring INTERLOG 2014, the must-attend forum for aftermarket service parts executives. The event takes place June 23-25, 2014, at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, San Diego, California.
“We have been sponsoring INTERLOG for well over a decade, and the value of the conference increases every year,” said Phillip Kennedy, Vice President of Product Management for Baxter Planning Systems. “Our goal is to provide an environment to collaborate with other industry experts, demonstrate our capabilities, and support our clients that are thought leaders in this space.”
Worldwide Business Research (WBR), the producers of INTERLOG, conducted a benchmark survey of more than 150 aftermarket service parts executives during last year’s conference. The results were recently published in "The State of Aftermarket Supply Chain Report." When asked what software applications are under consideration but not yet in use at their companies, 33 percent of participants selected inventory optimization – more than any category – and 20 percent selected planning software.
“Our business results corroborate the findings in INTERLOG’s benchmarking study,” said Greg Baxter, founder and President of Baxter Planning Systems. “We have increased our staff by nearly 40 percent in the past twelve months to meet increased demand for our software and planning services.”
INTERLOG 2014 agenda items that feature Baxter clients include:
- Using Installed Base Planning to Optimize Your Field Inventory Plan, a case study presented by Randal Hill, Worldwide Manager, Service Parts Supply Chain at Carestream Health, which will include how the use of Baxter’s Demand Source Locator helped to improve parts availability, reduce transportation costs, and increase customer satisfaction
- Optimizing Global Supply Chains in a Complex, Multiple 3PL Environment, co-presented by Ken Johnson, Senior Manager, Global Logistics and Supply Chain at Avaya
- Overcoming Integration Complexities When Partnering With New 3PLs, a roundtable discussion led by Matthew Gallagher, Director, Global Service Supply Chain at Morpho Detection
