QuickFire announces 4K developer’s kit based on the T-Video™ V2200 1U platform

QuickFire Networks announces the availability of a complete developer’s kit for companies supplying 4K encoders. The development kit includes:

  •     A 4K camera (Optional),
  •     A video capture card,
  •     A QuickFire Networks T-Video V2200 1U platform featuring PCI Express video capture, QuickFire’s proprietary V-Fabric™ high speed interconnect, and 9 video processing nodes featuring the latest Intel® Core™ CPUs
  •     Sample encoding software,
  •     A configured PC for decode, and
  •     A 4K TV (Optional)

“This development kit gives software encoder developers a pre-integrated end-to-end solution designed to remove many of the logistical headaches associated with setting up 4K infrastructure,” said PJ Go, EVP of QuickFire Networks. “In addition, the T-Video V2200 eliminates the need for a large, expensive and difficult to maintain server farm given that the V2200 can handle a live 4K HEVC encode within its 1U footprint.”

A demonstration of the T-Video V2200 showcasing 4K HEVC live encoding will be available at the 2014 Cable Show in Los Angeles, California, North Entrance, Hall K, Intel Booth 2507.
