Waste2Wear® Wows the Crowd at the 4th Global Leadership Awards® 2014
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- Waste2Wear, a brand of clothing and fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles, was honored to host a gala fashion show and presentation at the 2014 Global Leadership Awards held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Seven stunning evening dresses were hand-crafted by Marie Sydonie, the renowned French fashion designer, and each outfit was made from Waste2Wear recycled fabrics. During the gala dinner, guests were treated to a global class fashion show and a short citation about plastic in our environment presented by Tom Sam, the international marketing director for Waste2Wear.
"We need to rethink and redefine the role plastic waste plays in our environment,” said Mr. Sam. “Every piece of plastic ever created is still out there. We are committed to educating people on this serious issue, and Waste2Wear is one way that we can have a positive impact.” The presentation featured sustainable solutions about how waste can become a valuable resource, and how large corporations and government institutions can become part of the solution: Corporate garments, medical wear, and even pillows and curtains can all be made from recycled plastic bottles.
The 4th annual Global Leadership Awards was exclusively reserved for C-level professionals, such as CEOs, CFOs, Members and the Chairman of the boards, celebrities, sports personalities, community leaders and other organizational leaders with distinguished activity, exceptional leadership, and prominent achievements. The grand black tie event was organized by The Leaders International Magazine, endorsed by American Leadership Development Association (ALDA) and managed by MyEvents International.
