Brooklyn Cyclones to Play in the New York-Penn League All Star Game
Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- On August 19, the best and brightest stars in the New York-Penn League will descend upon MCU Park on Coney Island for the 10th Annual New York-Penn League All-Star Game presented by the Tic Toc Stop Foundation and Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn.
Tickets for the game, which drew an All-Star Game record of 9,054 fans the last time it was in Brooklyn, went on sale to the general public on Monday, April 21 at 10 a.m. exclusively at http://www.brooklyncyclones.com. Ticket prices range from $10 - $16, keeping MCU Park as the home of the most affordable family fun in Brooklyn.
Fans who come to the ballpark will be treated to non-stop entertainment from the time the gates open. At 5 p.m., both All-Star teams will be available throughout the ballpark for photos and autographs. Current big league stars like Miguel Cabrera, Andrew McCutchen, Jose Bautista and Robinson Cano have all played in the NYPL, so the guy signing fans’ game programs or baseballs may go on to win the Triple Crown or be named National League MVP.
But that’s not all. At 6 p.m., there will be even more stars taking the field at MCU Park for the Civil Servant / Celebrity All-Star Challenge presented by Municipal Credit Union. The game will feature every-day heroes from the NYPD, FDNY, PAPD, DSNY and more, as well as stars from the entertainment and sports world. Scheduled to appear are New York Mets Hall of Famers John Franco and Doc Gooden, local television personality Rosanna Scott from Fox 5’s “Good Day New York,” and Craig Carton from WFAN and the CBS Sports Network’s “Boomer and Carton Show.” Carton’s Foundation, http://www.tictocstop.com/, which focuses on putting an end to the tics commonly associated with Tourette syndrome, is a presenting sponsor of the All-Star Game. Be sure to visit the Brooklyn Cyclones website throughout the summer as more and more celebrities are added to the rosters.
Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with an unforgettable Coney Island Fireworks show to light up the sky after the game as an exclamation point for the night’s events.
Until Saturday, May 10, tickets for the All-Star Game will only be available at the Brooklyn Cyclones website. Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, tickets for the mid-summer classic will also be available over the phone as well as in person at the MCU Park box office. Fans who purchase their tickets before July 7 will receive a special commemorative ticket through the mail, no later than two weeks prior to the game.
