Becoming Prince Charming: Raising Boys to Become Men of Character and Integrity
Austin, TX (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- Stephanie Rankin not only believes in Prince Charming, she believes all parents have the ability to raise their sons to become this quintessential, exemplary vision of a man, through faith.
Rooted deeply in her Christian upbringing, “Becoming Prince Charming” – a children’s book – helps open a dialogue between parents and young children about developing character and faith. Rankin hopes it will open some parents’ eyes to the importance in purposefully seeking opportunities to build character in children.
“Becoming Prince Charming” is an endearing, moving children’s book series intended to inspire parents to raise their young sons to become upstanding men of God. Forever changed by parenthood, it was shortly after the birth of her son when Rankin was compelled and inspired to write a children’s book.
“Several months after my son’s birth, I sat in his nursery nursing him and was overcome by the gravity of the responsibility of being his mother. I remember thinking, “How will I give this precious child, this gift from the Creator of Life, everything he needs to become a man of character in a time of such depravity?” Rankin said. “I believe that if we begin to foster the importance of deliberately choosing to make good choices, to choose character, then the next generation will help to change the landscape of our culture, our country, and our world for God’s glory.”
Rankin hopes that “Becoming Prince Charming” will encourage other parents to teach their sons about the importance of making good choices and developing strong character, two qualities she attributes to Prince Charming.
